BT Voyager router won't accept my broadband User Name and Password

Why are my User Name and Password not accepted by my broadband router?

The DSL light on the router is steady green, the router is ready to connect but my user name and password won't allow me to log on, why does this happen?

Firstly check and double check you are entering your BT Broadband user name and password correctly. Remember that you must add @btbb to the end of your chosen user name, for example yourchoice@btbb

There is no need to add '.ie' or '.com' as the broadband user name is not an email address. Passwords are cASe SeNSitiVe.  Ensure the Caps Lock is NOT on.

If you are still unable to logon you will need to contact the Technical Support over the phone. Please note that BT will only speak with the account holder regarding user names and passwords.

Technical Support will confirm the correct logon details and whether your broadband order is fully complete. If the order is not complete due to a billing issue etc. this would prevent you from logging on to BT Broadband.

If you are already connected to the Internet and want to access the Advanced Configuration settings then you need to use the following default logon values

  • Username: admin
  • Password: admin
