Broadband minimum computer requirements
What are the minimum computer requirements to use BT Broadband?
If your computer was built in 2000 or later, it's more than likely compatible. See the table below for exact specifications.
Minimum computer requirements for Windows PC users:
* Pentium II 233 (or equivalent) or above
* 64MB RAM
* CD-ROM drive
* USB port
* 40 MB available hard disk
* A compatible Operating System
The BT Broadband modem and router supports the following PC operating systems.
* Windows 98SE (Second Edition)
* Windows 2000
* Windows XP
* Windows ME (Millenium Edition)
You will require an Ethernet network card if you are planning to connect the BT Broadband router using Ethernet
Note: The minimum Operating System is determined by the broadband equipment you purchase. Generally, it must be Windows 98SE or above. Windows NT and Windows 95 are generally not supported.
Minimum computer requirements for Apple Mac users:
* Power PC G3 300Mhz (CPU)
* 64MB RAM
* Ethernet port
* 40 MB available hard disk
* A compatible Operating System
The BT Broadband modem and router supports both Mac OS 9.x and OS 10.x operating systems provided your computer has a Ethernet network card installed.
