I have Flat Rate (evenings and weekends) - can I use my offpeak hours on a bank holiday?

We charge weekend rates on public holidays and we charge normal rates on Bank Holidays.

Please note that if a bank holiday falls on a public holiday, then we will charge weekend rates. The two bank holidays that are not public holidays are: Good Friday and 27th December.

Public holidays are observed in the Republic of Ireland on:

  • New Year's Day, 1 January
  • St Patrick's Day, 17 March
  • Easter Monday, moveable
  • Labour Day/May Day, the first Monday in May
  • June Holiday, the first Monday in June
  • August Holiday, the first Monday in August
  • October Holiday, the last Monday in October
  • Christmas Day, 25 December
  • St Stephen's Day, 26 December
