I have Flat Rate (evenings and weekends) - can I use my offpeak hours on a bank holiday? We charge weekend rates on public holidays and we charge normal rates on Bank Holidays.
Please note that if a bank holiday falls on a public holiday, then we will charge weekend rates. The two bank holidays that are not public holidays are: Good Friday and 27th December.
Public holidays are observed in the Republic of Ireland on:
- New Year's Day, 1 January
- St Patrick's Day, 17 March
- Easter Monday, moveable
- Labour Day/May Day, the first Monday in May
- June Holiday, the first Monday in June
- August Holiday, the first Monday in August
- October Holiday, the last Monday in October
- Christmas Day, 25 December
- St Stephen's Day, 26 December
