What is a Call Set Up Charge?
A Call Set Up Charge is the charge that is applied as soon as a call has started, the current cost of this charge is 5.97 cents including VAT.
Call Set Up Charge + Call Duration Charge = Total Cost of Call
Example: The charge for the duration of a call is say 8 cents. The Call Set Up Charge is 5.97 cents. Then the total cost of the call will be 13.57 cents (i.e. 8 cents plus 5.97 cents).
The duration of calls are rounded to the nearest minute.
There are certain call types which are not eligible for a Call Set Up Charge. The list of non-eligible calls are as follows:
- BT Talk Plus calls. Note: Even after the 60 minute free of charge duration is reached no Call Set Up Charge will be imposed from the 61st minute onwards.
- BT Talk A Lot Off Peak calls. Note: Even after the 60 minute free of charge duration is reached no Call Set Up Charge will be imposed from the 61st minute onwards.
- Any existing discounts/products/promotions e.g. Free Minutes – no Call Set Up Charge will be charged before free minutes are applied.
