What do I need to know about Windows Vista and my BT Broadband connection?

If you've got a new PC that is running Windows Vista, here's how to get started:

Most BT supplied routers are compatible with Windows Vista. Please check for your model below. If you are unsure of the model number turn the router upside down and check the sticker on the base of the unit.

  • BT Voyager 2110 Wireless router and BT Voyager 210 Ethernet / USB router
  • ZyXEL P660HW-D1 and P660HW-61 Wireless routers.
  • ZyXEL P660RU and P623 wired Ethernet / USB routers.

These routers are compatible with Windows Vista. We suggest connecting your router to your PC using either Ethernet or wireless. There are currenly no Vista USB drivers available for the ZyXEL routers so you will have to use the Ethernet cable. If you would like to use a USB connection for your BT Voyager 210 router then please click here  to download a Windows Vista driver.

There is no need to load any software from the installation CD you originally received with your router. BT supplied wireless routers do not have USB connections so there is no software to install. All you need to do is to connect wirelessly or using the supplied Ethernet cable to your router and new PC. Click on the link below for more information.
