Where can I find out more about BT Business One Plan?

Below are some of the frequently asked questions about BT Business One Plan.

 

What is the advantage of purchasing my calls, line rental and broadband in one package? Why not purchase them one at a time?

BT Business One Plan offers a discount when you purchase all three elements together. In addition, each package contains an inclusive number of minutes for calls to mobile and landline numbers. If you exceed your minute threshold, additional calls are charged at excellent value rates.

How do I compare BT rates to other suppliers?

We have calculated the following call rates, which are based on averages across all bundles, before and after the call threshold is reached. BT Business One Plan calls to mobile rate is 16c per minute, which includes calls to the UK. BT Business One Plan calls to landlines rate is 2.43c per minute.

 

How do I know which of the BT Business One Plan options suit my business needs?

Will BT automatically move me up a level if I exceed my volume of calls?

No. You must contact your account manager to switch levels if you believe you have underestimated your call volumes.

 

What happens if my call volume exceeds the number of calls in my chosen plan?

Any calls exceeding your selected BT One Plan threshold will be charged at preferential BT rates.

 

In addition:

  • Calls to UK mobiles are charged at the same rates as calls to Irish mobiles
  • Calls to UK landlines are charged at the same rates as calls to Irish landlines

 

Can I make international calls?

Calls to UK landlines and mobile are included in the BT One Plan inclusive minute packages. Calls to other international destinations are charged at normal BT rates, which represent excellent value because of BT's global connectivity. Can unused call volumes be carried over to the next month?

BT Business One Plan will not carry over unused minutes.

 

If I send in my most recent phone bill, can I get a quote of exactly what my company will save?

Contact BT on 1800 924 929 or business@btireland.ie. A BT Business Account Manager will be delighted to do a bill comparison with your current provider to estimate savings if you move to BT.

 

Can I get the voice packages without the broadband?

This option is not available at present. However, if you do use the Internet for your business, we do recommend that you sign up for BT Business Broadband as well as the voice packages. The incremental cost is minimal for the benefits received.

 

Can I switch more than one telephone line?

Line rental for your broadband line only is included in BT Business One Plan pricing. However all lines associated with your Universal Account number (UAN) will automatically transfer when you sign up to BT Business One Plan. Additional lines not included in the BT Business One Plan are charged at BT's regular rates.

 

Does BT Business One Plan cover all my line rental costs?

One PSTN line rental is included in the BT Business One Plan price. Additional lines not included in the BT Business One Plan are charged at BT's regular rates. Any calls on additional lines care included within your inclusive minutes package.

 

What happens if I have bought the wrong calls package / broadband speed?

You are allowed one downgrade of your broadband, free of charge, during a 12-month term. There will be no change to the term (your 12-month term will not re-start from the date of the change). You will however need to sign a new Sales Request Form to confirm the change you are making.

 

What is my contract term?

By taking the BT Business One Plan bundle of calls, line rental and broadband, you are committing to a new 12-month contract.

 

I have ISDN on my Internet phone line and would like to order BT Business One Plan. How will this affect my service?

If you have ISDN and you use both lines (for example one for phone and one for fax) then we recommend that you order another line on which to get broadband. If you have ISDN but you only use the line for phone, then you can use your current line for broadband.
