The BT account holder has passed away - what do I need to do?

Please have the following details to hand or include them in the letter you send us, so we can resolve the matter quickly and accurately:

 

The account number and the name of the account holder
The action you want BT to take, for example:
- changing the name of the account holder – please tell us the new name
- closing the account
- removing one name from a joint account – please tell us which name you wish to remove
Your name and address
Your relationship to the deceased

 

We do not need you to send us the original or a copy of the death certificate.
