How do I apply for telephone allowance?

If you have never received the allowance before, please contact your local social welfare office. Ask them to provide you with a letter proving you are eligible for the allowance. Send this letter to BT’s Customer Care Team at:

 

BT Customer Care,
Grand Canal Plaza,
Upper Grand Canal Street,
Dublin 4

 

Once our Customer Care Team receives this letter they will update your account to include the telephone allowance. The allowance will then be visible on your next bill.

 


 

What if I have previously received the allowance with another Telephone provider?

 

If you have a bill from this Telephone provider which includes the allowance please send this to our Customer Care Team at the above address.

 

If you do not have a previous bill, contact your previous provider and ask for a copy of the bill showing the allowance on it. Send this bill to our Customer Care Team.

 

Once our Customer Care Team receives this letter they will update your account to include the telephone allowance. The allowance will then be visible on your next bill.
