How do I cancel my telephone services?

If you wish to cease service on your telephone line please call our Customer Care department on Freephone 1904.

Opening hours are:

Mon-Fri: 8am - 8pm
Sat: 10am - 4pm
Sundays and Bank Holidays: closed

If you simply want to transfer services to another provider then you do not need to call. Placing an order with another provider will automatically transfer line rental services.

There are no minimum contracts for line rental and calls alone so there is no cancellation fee. However if you have subscribed to a call package such as Total Talk or an Internet service such as BT Broadband then a cancellation fee will be incurred if you do not complete the full 12 month term of the contract.

To cease services on a telephone line normally takes up to 10 working days after BT receive the appropriate and complete form. If you have additional services on your line such as BT Broadband then the process can take a further 5 working days.
