Connection type for Outlook Express and BT Broadband

Since changing to BT Broadband why does Outlook Express still try to connect using my old dialup connection?

You will need to adjust the connection type for Outlook Express when changing from a dialup to a broadband service.

  1. Open Outlook Express.
  2. At the top of the page click on ToolsAccounts.
  3. Click on the Mail tab.
  4. Highlight your email account, click on Properties.
  5. Click on the Connection tab.
  6. Tick the box Always connect to this account using:
  7. From the drop down menu select Local Area Network.
  8. Click Apply > OK > Close.
  9. Close and then re-open Outlook Express.
